TEACHING ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES
My primarily role is teaching with the aim of aiding learning. In the last 6 years, significant part of my time was devoted to managerial and administrative responsibilities. This marks a shift in my academic profile when compared to my erstwhile role and responsibilities as Assistant Lecturer or Lecturer.
Experience
In 2007 and 2008 I was the Program Manager of the Oxford Brookes BBA (Hons) top-up program. Currently, I am the Program Leader for ABA (Financial Services), in addition to overseeing 3 other A.D. programs in my role as Team Leader (ABA (Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management), ABA (Communication Studies English/Chinese), ABA (International Business Management). I am spearheading the key task of managing, guiding, counseling and deploying about 41% of divisional academic staff, under my pastoral care, as Program Leader and Team Leader.
During the last 16 years at City University & CCCU, I successfully met the challenge of teaching a wide spectrum Higher Diploma, Associate Degree and bachelor degree-level courses.
From 2006-2008, I was assigned to teach bachelor degree-level courses in the top-up program. Despite the challenges in teaching varied courses at different levels (HD, AD & BBA), and engaging in program management, I provided leadership by engaging in strategic initiatives, particularly in promoting student-centered and outcomes-based teaching and learning.
