Dr. Tse has been with the City University of Hong Kong for more than 20 years since he joined the then City Polytechnic of Hong Kong in 1987. As a veteran language professional with vast experience, Dr Tse teaches a wide spectrum of language subjects, including linguistics, English phonetics, sociolinguistics, translation and interpretation, as well as language and law. His major teaching duties are now focused on interpretation  and translation. Dr Tse had also taught translation and interpretation at BA and MA levels before he transferred to CCCU. His major research interests are subtitles translation and legal translation, in addition to English phonetics and the philosophy of language.
