Dr Alan Tse leads the Translation and Interpretation team in the Division of Languages and communication, CCCU as section leader, and is programme leader for the Associate of Arts in Translation and Interpretation programme.

 

He received his formal training in translation and interpretation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic in the early 80s. After gaining membership by examination to the UK-based Institute of Linguists (MIL), he went on to further his studies in the UK and obtained an MA in Linguistics from the University of Leeds in 1985. In 1997, he completed his doctoral research at the University of Hong Kong and obtained a PhD in language and law, the first of its kind in the territory.
